“Celebrating Young People and Thriving in Jesus”

We love working with children and young people. Their insights and perspectives are refreshing and teach us so much! At Oak Grove Community Church we are committed to celebrating, integrating and discipling children and young people.

Celebrate - Young people are welcome, seen and celebrated for who they are.

Integrate - Young people are essential to society and church and have so much to contribute to and learn from those around them.

Disciple - Supporting young people to fulfil their God-given potential by challenging them on their personal journey with Jesus.

Between our Children’s work and Fresh (our youth work), we meet at various points during the week for fun, laughter, support and community. Some of us follow Jesus, some don’t and some are thinking about it - wherever you are at, you are welcome. Jesus said he came to give us life - life to the full!

School Holidays . . .

During the school holidays we often run activities for children in the community. This could range from movie mornings, to meals, to holiday clubs. Make sure to check out our social media for details closer to the time.

Schools . . .

We love working with schools, sharing our faith in whatever way we can. Whether that's in assemblies, RE lessons, clubs or prayer spaces. We want to encourage children to think about how Jesus can make a difference today.

Hi, I’m Daniel! I love working with children and young people, they are some of the most innovative, excited and curious change-makers in our world. I’m privileged to lead a team of fantastic volunteers who care deeply for our local children and long to see them thrive.

The children’s and youth work at Oak Grove is always welcoming and inclusive to all faiths and none. Motivated by our Christian faith, we love hanging out, playing games and providing opportunities for young people to grow in themselves and give to others - with a healthy dose of crazy fun thrown in.

I love Jesus and everything geeky! I love board games, video games, comics, books and film. Oh, and my family are pretty cool too, I spend time with them occassionally.
